Would you like better Control over your periods? A new product has been invented to seal and keep menstrual blood under control until you urinate.New inventions always destroy old technologies, this is the case in the new alternative to sanitary pads ‘Mensez’ created by a male inventor, Dr Daniel Dopps of Wichita, Kansas.

The invention, was granted a US patent on January 10. The product ‘Mensez’ was described on the company website to be a natural product made amino acids (the building blocks of protein) and oils. It feels like and is applied as easy as lipstick, helping stop discharges during menstruation until it is dissolved by urine. It’s ideal for women with active lifestyles.

Mensez is a new, natural approach to feminine health. Mensez is a proprietary combination of amino acids and natural oils in a lipstick applicator. When applied to the labia minora, it creates a temporary seal to retain menstrual fluids inside until urination. The urine instantly releases the seal and everything washes away into the toilet. It’s safe and secure for the user. Mensez is based on the theory of makeup or oil on a mirror that doesn’t wash off with water alone but with a window cleaner with ammonium it washes away easily. Urine has ammonium in it naturally and it releases the seal. Modern bathing habits, while helpful, wash away natural protective bodily compounds similar to Mensez that previously helped control menses (as discharge from the uterus at menstruation is known). Mensez is simply a natural replacement for those compounds .

The product is not yet available to the public, and Dr Dopps told Forbes it has so far been tried out only by a small number of women. On his website, he said the product will be in the market sometime this year. This invention will give women so much comfort and ease as they won’t have to worry too much over consistent change of pad during their menstrual period.
